Our goal for summer learning is to be responsive to students’ academic and social emotional needs by designing individualized student lessons in reading and math to be delivered in a small group, targeted setting with weekly SEL support.
This will be complemented by additional learning opportunities including:

Enrollment for students will open on Monday, February 15th & close on Friday, April 16th.

Qualifications
Students who have scored the lowest in Math and Literacy will be invited per email/school messenger in January by the Summer Learning Office.

A maximum of 500 students will be accepted.

Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis (Infinite Campus will update nightly).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What will online instruction look like for my child?
A: Teachers will use skill-based lessons for direct
instruction targeted to your child’s level in a small
group format. Students will also engage in
independent practice using online lessons. There will also be lessons offered focusing on Social and
Emotional Learning and study skills. Teachers will
use formative data from small group instruction as
well as student online lesson practice to progress
monitor and adjust instruction as needed. Online
small group instruction will be offered in both
Reading and Math.
Q:What will a daily schedule be like?
A: Teachers and students will work together in small groups to enhance reading and math skills:

Small group instruction in reading Monday and Tuesday

Small group instruction in math Wednesday and Thursday

When not in small groups, students will engage in additional learning opportunities including: STEM and reading menus, online independent practice, student reflection

Closing Whole Group - Integrated SEL & Essentials Skills Lesson and revisit the Executive Function Goal for the day
Q: Am I required to purchase/provide any student materials?
A: Parents are not required to purchase anything to bring with them. All materials with be provided in class.
